Cell Wall of Plants are Made Up of ___________. (A) Sucrose (B) Cellulose (C) Glycogen (D) Peptidoglycan

Answer :  The cell wall of plants is made of cellulose. These the linear and long polymers which contain plenty of glucose molecules. The cell wall of plants is attached by the glue-like substance known as middle lamella. The middle lamellas are jelly-type materials made from magnesium and calcium pectate. With cellulose, hemicellulose is also present on the plants’ cell walls, which are a potential form of polysaccharides. Both provide tensile strength and mechanical support to the plant. The cellulose microfibril has lignin material that enhances the cellulose’s strength and power. It also reduces the osmotic and mechanical stress in the plant.
