Non-living and living are both kinds of objects present on the earth with their particular characteristics. Living things have a proper life cycle from taking birth to leaving the earth, but “non-living things” do not respond to any reaction and don’t have any life cycle or birth process. In order to introduce these two objects, it can be said that both of the objects are completely different from each other and can be identified easily. For example, living objects have the power to give birth to a new generation, but “non-living things” do not have reproduction power and don’t even respond to any action.
Living and Non-living things
The earth is full of mysterious objects with different characteristics and different types of life circles. In order to describe what non-living and living things are, it can be said that objects of this planet can be divided into two main categories. One is living, and another one is non-living. Examples of living things are- humans, animals, trees, insects and other objects that are responsive to any actions and have a proper life cycle from birth to death. On the other hand, “non-living objects” are non-responsive and do not have any proper life cycle.
Every person has observed these objects in their daily life because these are very common objects and can be seen everywhere. For example, the living things are the humans themselves, and the “non-living things” are computers, chairs and many more objects that don’t have life.
Characteristics of Living things
Living things have a proper life circle that starts from birth, and then they grow and give birth to another generation and then die at a certain age. Living things are very responsive to any particular reaction and immediately react to any actions. For example, suppose any object or person is touching the living element, then the element will respond just after that.
Living things have a growth rate, and their growth rate is divided into three phases majorly. First, like after birth, the living thing is in the child phase, then after that, it grows naturally and reaches the maturity stage and finally to the old stage of life.
Characteristics of Non-living things
These things do not have any life cycle because they don’t have life. The objects that don’t have life are considered non-living objects, so it is very genuine that whatever will be the action, these things will never react to it. For example, if a person hits a chair, the chair never hits the person back. Only a sound is built up, and that is because of the hitting. These objects do not require food, water, clothes or oxygen to survive because they do not have a respiratory system. They exist in this world.
Difference between Living and Non-living things
The core difference between these two objects is that living elements have life, and non-living elements do not. Another difference between these two things is that living objects are mortal, but non-living elements do not ruin easily if they have a good quality build-up. Living objects can produce a new generation, but the “non-living things” cannot give birth to any object [see Appendix A]. Living objects can move, but non-living objects cannot move from one place to another. Living elements have particular organs that help them to move from one place to another, but the non-living elements do not have any particular organs to move.
Conclusion
These elements are needed in this earth because naturally non-living objects are technical, and some of the objects are also natural, like soil, rock and so on. So, in case these non-living substances will get abolished from this earth. The life cycle of living objects will be hampered severely because the living objects are dependent on these objects in many perspectives. Only living objects don’t need importance and power on the earth, and the non-living substances will be lost forever. For example, if the mountains were not in the earth as non-living objects, then the entire morphology of the earth would be different as it can directly impact the habitat and ecological system of the earth.
