The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam twice every year. The exam is held in two stages – written and interview. Only the candidates who qualify for the written test are called for the interview.

The UPSC releases notifications to help candidates stay updated about the exam. Here are the latest NDA 2022 notifications that aspirants should pay attention to:

NDA Application Form

UPSC releases the NDA application form online. The application form for NDA 2022 April exam was released on December 22, 2021.

  • The last date for submission of the application form – is January 11, 2022, till 6 PM
  • Last date for withdrawal of application form – January 18, 2022, to January 24, 2022, by 6 PM

NDA Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100 through net banking or Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit card. Alternatively, they can deposit the money in any Branch of SBI by cash.

SC/ST candidates, female candidates and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from payment of a fee for the NDA exam.

NDA Issuance of Admit Card

Eligible candidates will be issued an e-admit card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. Candidates will have to download the card from the official website of UPSC, as no admit card will be sent by post.

NDA Date of Exam

The UPSC will conduct the first NDA examination on April 10, 2022, for NDA and Indian Naval Academy (INAC) Courses commencing from January 2, 2023.

208 (including 10 seats for female candidates)

  1. Flying – 92 (including 2 seats for female candidates)
  2. Ground duties (Tech) – 18 (including 2 seats for female candidates)
  3. Ground duties (Non-tech) – 10 (including 2 seats for female candidates)
Naval Academy (10+2 cadet entry scheme) 30 (for male candidates only)

NDA Result

The result of the first NDA 2022 exam is likely to be declared in the month of June 2022.  All the shortlisted candidates will be required to register themselves on the below-given websites for allotment of Select centres for SSB test/interview:

SSB Test/Interview

SSB test is a two-stage selection procedure in which candidates have to appear in the Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.

  • Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests
  • Stage II comprises Interview, Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks, and Conference

Only the candidates who qualify the Stage I have to appear for the Stage II test.
