Women have always been an important part of society. However, women have not been allowed to earn recognition and fame for themselves before modernization. Women were not allowed to work before and they were subjected to house all chores. Society usually preferred men to do work that earned money. Therefore, woman’s rights were issued to ensure women have equal rights like men. The government has issued a list of woman’s human rights. This list of woman’s human rights is important as it provides the woman with essential power.
What are women’s rights?
Women’s rights or the Women’s Liberation movement is the result of the second wave of feminism that rose in the United Sates of America in the years 1950-1960. This movement’s basic agenda was to emphasize that women are just as equal to men and they should be granted equal rights. This includes the right to vote, the right of equal pay and so on. This movement brought about a series of opportunities for women in the later half of the 20th century which included reserved seats for women in politics and so on.
