Integer Worksheet

In this lecture we are going to learn about simplifying integer exponents worksheets, integer operations and will provide a worksheet to solve.

The addition and subtraction of integers, the addition and subtraction of numerous integers, and the multiplication and division of different numbers are all covered in integers worksheets. In mathematics, among the most important topics , integers are there. It is important because many other important concepts are based on integers. Multiple integer worksheets can be used to clarify this concept. learners will be reminded what an integer is and thenapply that knowledge in various contexts. Students will fill in the blanks by defining positive and negative integers, recording integers on number lines, distinguishing integers from other numbers, identifying opposite integers, and finally identifying integers based on real-world circumstances.

What are Integers?

When we add the positive and negative numbers together, we get a new set of numbers that looks like…. -4,-3,-2,-1, 0, 1,2,3,4 and so on are some examples. Integers are a type of number collection.Integers are a collection of numbers.

Positive Integer :

A positive integer is an integer whose value is greater than 0.

Example: 1, 2, 3 . . .

Negative Integer :

A negative integer is an integer whose value is less than 0.

Example: -1, -2, -3 . . .

Whole Number :

Whole number is a number that is neither in fractional  format nor in decimal format.

Example :

the numbers starting from 0 are all whole numbers. Numbers like -3, 2.7, and 3 12 aren’t even close to being whole numbers.

Benefits of Integers Worksheets :

Worksheets for integers provide students more freedom and motivate them to answer various problems. Because the notion of integers requires a lot of practice, these worksheets ensure frequent practice. These math worksheets also address the logical and reasoning aspects of mathematics, as well as assisting learners in real-world situations.

These worksheets’ step-by-step method makes it easy for learners to handle a range of topics and confirms their understanding.

Rules of Integers:

1. Multiplication

RULE 1:    + * – = –

RULE 2:    + * + = +

RULE 3:    – * – = +

Examples:

Rule 1: 1. (+4) x (-2) = -8 2. (-2) x (+5) = -10

Rule 2: 1. (+6) x (+8) = +48 2. (+6) x (+2) = +12

Rule 3: 1. (-6) x (-8) = +48 2. (-2) x (-4) = +8

2. Division

RULE 1:    + / – = –

RULE 2:    + / + = +

RULE 3:     – / – = +

Examples:

Rule 1: 1. (-8) / (+4) = -2 2. (-12) / (+6) = -2

Rule 2: 1. (+6) / (-3) = -2 2. (+24) / (-6) = -4

Rule 3. 1. (+9) / (+3) = +3 2. (+16) / (+4) = +4

Rule 4: 1. (-6) / (-2) = +3 2. (-42) / (-7) = +6

Integer addition:

Examples:

  1. 2+3=5
  1. 3+8=11
  1. (-3)+2= -1

  1. 9+6=?
  1. 5+4=?
  1. (-7)+2=?
  1. 5+9=?
  1. 9+2=?

Integer Subtraction:

Examples:

  1. 9-3=6

2.(-4)-7=-11

3.(-8)-(-4)=-4

Worksheet:

  1. -2 + 3 = ______
  1. 0 + -6 = ______
  1. 7 + 1 = ______
  1. -6 + 4 = ______
  1. 2 + 4 = ______
  1. 5 + 10 = ______
  1. -6 + 0 = _______
  1. -9 + -1 =_______
  1. 0 + -4 =________
  1. -5 + -5 = _______

Integer Multiplication:

Examples:

  1. 7 × -2 = -14
  1. 5 × -4 = -20
  1. -7 × 7 = -49

Worksheet:

  1. 5 × 7 = ____
  1. 10 × -5 = ____
  1. -6 × 8 = ____
  1. -10 × 2 = ____
  1. -7 × 5 = ____
  1. -3 × 6 = ____
  1. 9 × 7 = ____
  1. 4 × -9 = ____
  1. -4 × 10= ____
  1. 5 × -3 = ____

Integer Division:

Examples:

  1. -176 ÷ 11 = -16
  1. -190 ÷ 2 = -95
  1. 33 ÷ 11 = 3

Worksheet:

  1. 54 ÷ 2 = ____
  1. -10 ÷ -10 = ____
  1. -60 ÷ -12 = ____
  1. 15 ÷ -5 = ____
  1. 60 ÷ -10 = ____

  1. 24 ÷ 12 = ____
  1. 110 ÷ -11 = ____

Conclusion:

Integers are positive, negative, and zero-valued numbers that are not fractions or decimals. Integers can be subjected to any mathematical operation. The answer can be influenced by the signs of the two numbers on which we perform any operation.
