GATE 2012 Question Paper

In the year 2012, the GATE exam was conducted for various subjects. Some common topics that were included in all the papers were verbal ability and numerical ability. A candidate could apply for a single exam out of the twenty-one papers mentioned on the GATE website. The examination structure was such that each paper had sixty-five questions that carried a weightage of a hundred marks. All the questions were objective type and for the MCQ type questions, four options were given to the candidate.  The compulsory section of General Aptitude carried a weightage of 15 marks for 10 questions.

Ans: Verbal ability can be described as a vast topic which includes various sub-topics such as English grammar, verbal analogies, critical reasoning, sentence completion as well as a verbal deduction. 

Ans: The sub-topics that were included in the numerical ability section of the GATE exam 2012 consisted of questions regarding numerical computation, numerical reasoning, data interpretation and numerical estimation. 

Ans: In the year 2012, the GATE question paper consisted of four different types of questions in diverse papers. The pattern of questions could be MCQ based with each question for one or two marks, numerical answer question wherein the candidate has to put the answer which is a number, common data questions that included common input data for two continuous questions and lastly, linked answer questions wherein the candidate has to put the answer to the initial question for answering the later one.
