Eligibility Criteria for AP EAPCET- Agriculture and Pharmacy

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK), Kakinada conducts the “Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test” (AP EAPCET – 2021) for admission into Professional Courses at the universities and colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The courses are:

I) B.Sc.(Ag.) / B.Sc.(Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & AH / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA&BM).

II) B.Pharm. / B.Tech.(Bio-Technology) (Bi.P.C.). 

III) Pharm-D (Bi.P.C).

Eligibility to appear for AP EAPCET-2021

Candidates who meet the following conditions will be able to take the AP EAPCET 2021:

  1. Candidates must be Indian citizens or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas citizens of India (OCI) cardholders.
  1. Candidates must be Andhra Pradesh / Telangana residents. Candidates must meet the requirements for Local / Non-Local status in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana. The Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order of 1974, as modified.
  1. For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc. (Ag) / B.Sc. (Hort) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FS&T) courses:

Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or any other examination recognised as equal thereof by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, with any two / three of the subjects listed against each course:

With any two of the following subjects:

a) B.Sc.(Ag.) 

I. Physical Science

II. Biological or Natural Sciences

III. Agriculture

IV. Vocational Course in Agriculture

b) B.Sc.(Hort) 

I. Physical Science.

II. Biological or Natural Sciences.

III. Agriculture.

IV. Vocational Course in Agriculture.

c) B.V.Sc. & A.H. 

I. Physical sciences.

II. Biological or Natural Sciences.

III. Vocational Courses in Veterinary Sciences.

d) B.F.Sc 

I. Physical Sciences.

II. Biological or Natural Sciences.

III. Vocational Courses in Fishery Sciences.

e) B.Tech. (FS & T) 

I. Mathematics.

II. Physical Sciences.

 or

I. Physical Sciences.

II. Biological or Natural sciences.

f) B.Pharmacy & Pharm-D 

I. Mathematics.

II. Physical Sciences.

 or

I. Physical Sciences.

II. Biological or Natural sciences.

Note: (i) Candidates seeking admission to the aforesaid programs should appear for Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in AP EAPCET-2021, regardless of the subjects studied in the qualifying test (AM Category).

ii) Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December of the year of admission (2021), with a maximum age of 22 years for all candidates and 25 years in case of SC/ST candidates as of 31st December of the year of admission (2021).

For B. Pharm Course:

  1. Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana or its equivalent.
  2. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by or before the commencement of admission, or on any such date as the CET committee may specify. There is no maximum age limit.

For B.Tech. (Bio-Technology) Course:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) along with the subjects Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional, and the bridge course examination in mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana. 

For Pharm-D Course:

  1. Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana or any other examination recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana as equivalent thereto, or they must have passed or appeared for the final year of the diploma examination in pharmacy course conducted by the  Andhra Pradesh / Telangana State Board of Technical Education and Training.
  2. In the qualifying examination, the candidate must obtain at least 45 percent (40 percent if the candidate belongs to a reserved category) in the subjects mentioned (taken combined).
  3. Candidates must be at least 17 years old on December 31st of the year of admission (2021).

Qualifying Marks for AP-EAPCET-2021

For the AP EAPCET 2021, the qualifying percentage of marks is 25% of the maximum marks. There is no minimum qualifying score for individuals belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe. Their admission, however, will be limited to the number of seats allotted for such groups (vide G.O.Ms. No. 179, LEN&TE, dated 16.06.1986).
