Why does an empire decline under the rule of weak emperors?

Ans. The downfall or progress of an empire is directly linked to their emperors. A weak ruler is incompetent in ruling a vast territory as they can’t enforce laws or suppress revolts like in the case of the Mughals. The later Mughal emperors were involved in their own internal politics and didn’t focus on the affairs of the empire. Therefore, weak rulers lead to the decline of an empire.
