why we will wrote 5 ×3 15....how 15 comes and why... distance travel by A is not asked
Hello to all those are looking for a shorter approach without really applying the relative concept, here you go: Approach 1: construct a table with column headings Time(hr), A location (km), B location(km), C location(km) and simply start formulating the distance travelled by each of them from 1 pm i.e from the time A leaves the common place. You'll observe that at around 5 pm and 12 km, both A and B meet. Similarly, at around 6 pm and 15 km A and C meet and B at this time has already travelled up to 16 kms and is 1km ahead of both A and C. Approach 2: A simpler way to find the distance at which they meet, would be multiplying the speeds of A and B to find their meeting location i.e. 3x4= 12 km and similarly for A and C i.e. 3x5= 15 km. From this info I'm sure its easy to calculate the time. Hope it helped?
