ohk..actually I was confused ....as it is the contemporary of Gupta dynasty in the South..I thought it should have been covered in parallel for easy understanding.
Achievement of Samudragupta :...Can be elaborated on basis of his expansion of territories and inscriptions found in Allahabad pillar alongside Ashoka, Great patron of art and literature,Good veena player which can depicted through gold coins of his times, Ashvamedha sacrifices of horses printed in coins also highlights about his power and mighty and valiant character traits as well.
Decline of Gupta Reign: 1. Repeated invasion of White Huns and struggle to fight them back. 2. Defeat of Huns in the hands of Aulikara feudatory family i.e Yashodharman of Malwa gave rise rise to other feudatories too rebel against Gupts'and consequently weaken the empire. 3.Economic decline-Making of payments in terms of land than in coins. Now gold coins content were less and it was more of an alloy with less gold content.
