Can you tell me why the nominated members do not take part in the election process but they participate in the impeachment process of the President?

Because impeachment of the president requires special majority in both the house of Parliament .So to attain that majority, nominated members are also required.

They do not take part in the election because the election comprises of single transferrable vote, proportional representation and includes all the MLA's and MP's(elected ones)representing their constituencies.Their single transferrable vote is on the behalf of all of us from all the constituencies.Hence, the nominated members do not come in the picture.
