Independence

Indians suffered a lot to get Independence, and the freedom fighter fought for the nation to live happily without any British rule. Independence Day is a mark of the Independence of the nation.

Independence is the right of everyone, and it carries a very significant place among Indians as they got it after almost 800 years of Mughal rule and 200 years of British Rule. Independence Day marks the end of British rule in 1947 and hence is celebrated with utmost joy. Even though the partition into two countries was painful for all those involved in this freedom movement, it marked the beginning of democratic and independent ruling. Independence Day is remembered as it commemorates the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the Independence of the nation from British rule. India after Independence has been able to progress despite many setbacks and it still needs to work on redefining the definition of freedom in order to reach the richness in tradition, culture, morals and values it used to have in the ancient past. 

Political independence

Political Independence is a self-independence that reduces exploitation and poverty, and that shows the power of politics. The political decision gives the direction to run the state independently. This helps to develop the nation or the state; hence the government is making several rules for India that are profitable for people and the nation. The freedom fighter fought for this political system to be free from British rule. The use of right in a positive way and doing something for social and social power is called Political independence. According to this, politics is free for any dependence in which they do their work according to theirs.

The Journey to Independence of India

The Independence of India was a painful journey in which many freedom fighters were killed by the British. The fight was started in 1847 and the Indian fighter participated in the violent and non-violent revolution against the British rules. Indian women also take part in the fight against the British. Such women freedom fighters are Rani Lakshmi Bai, Begum Hazrat Mahal, and many more. Many Indian fighters were martyred while fighting. Multiple revolutionary wars and fights are derived by the brave son and daughter of the country. 

The Revolt of 1857

The above-mentioned revolt is also known as the sepoy mutiny, it was begun in meerut in 1857. The cause was the sepoys’ refusal to peel cartridges that are claimed to be made up of pig fat, and the wrapped paper was greased with cows’ fat. In 1857, the sepoy mangal pandey attacked the British officers on the barrackpore. Peace was declared in 1859 and the East India Company was abolished. India came under the rule of the British government.

Champaran Satyagraha

Mahatma Gandhi launched this satyagrah with the motion to object as opposed to the treatment meted out with the farmers in the champaran district for Bihar. These farmers were forced to grow their crops under British law and were treated poorly. Gandhi arrived in Champaran in 1917 and he was captured for causing unrest to the government. However, he was later freed with the effect of a huge non-violent protest. 

Quit India Movement

The quit India movement began with the all India congress committees in Bombay section during 1942, the Second World War. Furthermore, it was to end the British rules in India. The British were forcefully dragging the county in the world war. Moreover, 87,000 Indian soldiers were martyred during this war. Along with this, Gandhi made a call of do and die during his speech of Quit India movement in 1942. In this regard, a huge mass of protesters took part in protest against British rule while taking part in this movement.

Dandi March

The Dandi march was started in 1930 as an act of the non-violent civil insubordination led by Gandhi. Moreover, this was the movement against the British salt monopoly. Mahatma Gandhi started a march of 390 kilometers from Sabarmati ashram to Dandi. Thousands of people join them in their midway to oppose the salt law. The overall 60,000 people were arrested after the salt satyagraha, however, the movement is able to bring attention at international level and it tends towards the independence struggle of India.

The journey to Independence of India

The journey of the Independence of India was very painful in which various freedom fighters were killed by an enemy country.  The mass fight had started in 1847, and the Indian fighter had participated to free the nation from the British rules. Indian women also take part in fighting with them such as Rani Lakshmi bai, Begum Hazrat Mahal, hence Mangal Pandey was one of the fighters who fought with the British and martyred marking the beginning of the first Independence Revolt. The 1857 fight had started from Meerut, which is located in the Delhi state. India struggled for Independence from 1857 to 1947, such a very hectic situation for the Indians they fought ninety years, which was a very long time to get freedom. 1857 is one of the historic fights that is very important to know regarding the various freedom fights.

Gandhiji had started the Satyagraha in every place as the Champaran Satyagraha was the first Satyagraha movement in 1917. This is considered a historical revolt in the Indian Independence movement. This was related to the farmers’ uprising that was undertaken by a British company; however, the farmers had to take a stand to be free from British rule. The other journey was that train treasury which was led by Chandra Shekhar Azad. He also fought for Independence for the nation,  in the train treasury robbed by him and his member’s whole train was filled with British money .“Give me blood and I will give you freedom,” said Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who also fought with the British government. Before independence, India had a very hard situation that is very painful for every Indian. It’s all about ending British rule from India, hence every Indian fighter had faced world war. The first world was held against British rule.   

Trigger to fight

The British in which Indians fought against the Indian rebellion of 1857 and British East India Company had joined their hands to stop their regulation in India. However, the Indians want their own rules and regulations, which is very important for Independence India. There were various triggers such as Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, Mahatma K Gandhi. This freedom fighter got freedom for India. They started the fight against British rule; Indians had made their own rule to run their nation and political independence.

Conclusion

Lakhs of freedom fighters had laid down their lives through Ahimsa and Extremism with a vision to free their motherland. It was their supreme sacrifice, that all the Indians today have a democratic political and power distribution structure. Hence, it is important for all Indians now that they do not forget the supreme sacrifices offered to enjoy the freedom and sovereignty the country has today. Everyone needs to give up their personal greed for anything and everything when it comes to national security and sovereignty of the country.
