Moreover, the French constitution is also known as“the constitution of the Fifth Republic ”, and it also restates the constitution of the Fourth Republic of 1946. After analysing the French constitution, it can state that some features make them different from countries like the king came down from the government, and the power to create rules was placed in the national gathering. France had fifteen different constitutions to manage their whole democracy in this global world which made them different from others.

In the French constitution Article 1 stated that every citizen is equal to the French government without the dissimilarity of their gender diversity, origin, religion and others. Moreover, this constitution provides equal value to both men and women to their national assembly, sports office, and different positions of various social responsibility. Besides this, Article 4 can also be seen that whether someone belonging from any political group can also carry others activities with a free mind, the government will never create any issue in their democracy. In the Fourth Republic, it was stated that every citizen and the President of the Republic always have to provide respect for the French constitution. The President is the person who can guarantee national sovereignty, territorial honesty and others due to respect for the nation.

Moreover, like other countries the President of France is elected by the majority of votes in the ballot system. The two candidates who get the maximum number of votes in the first ballot can hold a position in the government assembly. Election of President is held before twenty days of expiring the old President and it was done by the government member. In the French constitution Article 8 states that the President of the republic can appoint the Prime Minister for discussing any situation at any time and also terminate the engagement of the Prime Minister.

The French constitution is created by managing both Parliamentary and Presidential systems in the national gathering of France. Moreover, for any kind of complexity council of French ministers are responsible to manage those kinds of situations. The French constitution provides the power to the President to control both the head of state along with the head of Government and also can use different financial and judicial powers. Besides this, the President can dissolve any national gathering at any time if it requires, and also be an important commander of the armed forces. The expression of the French constitution is providing “Liberty, Fraternity, and Equality” to individuals, so they can feel secure to all their citizens who live in their nation.

In this constitution, it can be seen that the power of the President was weak, and to increase this France made a new constitution called the Fifth Republic. After evaluating the study it can be stated that to make a strong constitution to prevent any complex situation some changes are needed in this republic.

The French constitution 1958

In the year 1958, France had to face a very critical situation, especially when the Fourth Republic came to end. The national gathering decided to hand over all its lawmaking power to their king De Gaulle and adjourned. Moreover, for this reason, a small cabinet committee was established to hold the importance of that situation and also to make a draft of their constitution, which has to be created in two months. However, the draft of the new constitution was approved by the committee, it was submitted to the citizens of France for their approval that was clutch on 29 September 1958. Though the Fifth Republic constitution was written in the document, it consists of 92 Articles that are divided into 15 titles.

Charles de Gaulle was the main factor who introduced the new French constitution, which has been amended twenty-four times in France. However, the French constitution always assures their citizens that they get the freedom to practice any religion, no one can force them to respect or disrespect any other religion. Apart from this, the new French constitution 1958 also focuses on the educational level of their citizens, wealth, jobs, gender to provide them with a fair value.

Hence it is concluded from the above study that at first of using the constitution France has used the Fourth republic as the French constitution. Moreover, in 1958 the Ministry of France decided to change their constitution that can help their nation to deal with any complex situation easily. Hence the assembly made a draft with many changes and provided it to the committee, known as the new French constitution 1958 or the Fifth Republic. Moreover, it also summarised from the above study that the new constitution of France can fulfil all the weaknesses or gaps that they have to face while using the Fourth Republic to control any difficult situation.
