Registration process and fee for WBPSC exam

Candidates must go through the below mentioned structured process for registering and completing the application procedure for WBPSC examination. 

Registration process: 

The following steps should be followed to register for WBPSC exam:

Step 1: Firstly, candidates should log on to the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission.

Step 2: Click on ‘One time Registration’ option on the right hand side of the website. 

Step 3: After clicking on the registration tab, candidates will be navigated on the application form webpage. They have to fill the application form with all the necessary details. 

Step 4: Once the form is completely filled, click on the ‘Register’ button.

Step 5: Once the form is submitted successfully, the candidates will receive an OTP on their registered number. Candidates have to confirm for validation. 

Step 6: Applicants will then be able to log into their account with the given enrollment number and password. 

This completes the registration/enrollment procedure. 

Application process:

The following process must be followed by the candidates for applying into WBPSC exam:

Step 1: Candidate should click on WBPSC official website and login with their credentials. 

Step 2: After logging in, the candidate will be redirected to the dashboard and a form will appear on the screen. Click on ‘Application Details’ and fill all the required fields. Click on the ‘Save and Continue’ button.

Step 3: A passport size photograph and scanned image of signature needs to be uploaded by the candidate. This will be done on the respective tabs namely, ‘Upload photo’ and ‘Signature’.

Step 4: The candidate will then proceed to the ‘My Application (s)’ page. Select the relevant post against the examination given. If the candidate meets the eligibility criteria for the particular exam, they need to click on the ‘Continue’ button.

Step 5: The application form will appear with all the details of the candidate. If they meet the age and category criteria, they need to click the checkbox ‘Indicate eligible for the current post’ and click on ‘Continue’.

Step 6: Candidate has to fill in all the academic details and all the required fields in the form, and click on ‘Save & Continue’ button.

Step 7: Candidates will be redirected to a new form, wherein, they need to add preferable examination center, race select, and other details. When done, click on ‘Save & Continue’. This section is not applicable for all the posts.

Step 8: Candidate will see all the entries made in different sections of the application form. To make changes, they need to click on ‘Back to My Application’ section.

Post submission, both online and offline payment tab will appear. Candidates can thereafter choose their preferred payment mode option and do the needful. Lastly, once the payment is successfully made, candidates can take the print of application form for future references. 

WBPSC fees

Candidates have to pay application fees in order to apply for the WBPSC exam. Applicants have to pay Rs. 210 along with service charge (1 percent of the examination fee or minimum Rs. 5). In case applicants are making the payment online or via debit/credit card, then 1% examination fees which comes to Rs. 5 needs to be paid. An additional service charge needs to be paid as well. In case applicants are paying via net banking then Rs. 5 service charge will be applied. In case, applicants pay via bank counter (offline payment), then Rs. 20 will be charged as service charge. 

Please note: 

  • BC category candidates (West Bengal only) have to pay the fee
  • ST/SC category and PWD candidates with more than 40% physical disability (West Bengal only) are not required to pay the fees
  • SC/ST/BC candidates (Non West Bengal state) have to pay the required fee amount
  • The fee amount is non-refundable 
  • These candidates are not exempted from making fee payment
