Buddhism Cause for Rising

A note on the topic of the rise of Buddhism in India and as well with other parts of the world along with some important facts and truths about Buddhism.

Buddhism is a religion that was developed in ancient India. It was developed in India around 2500 years ago, somewhen from the 6th century to the 4th century BCE. Gautam Buddha started this tradition of the philosophical views among the people which later on became a religion. Buddhism in India is also a famous religion.

At that time after the death of Gautam Buddha, his followers started a movement to share his views among the people. Not only that, but many of the kings of that time has adapted this religion, and spread it. Also, the universities and business relations between countries helped the rise of Buddhism.

Buddhism

The religion or the philosophical views started by Gautam Buddha within the period of 6th to 4th century BCE, is now known as Buddhism. Gautam Buddha was the king of the Shakya republic of Nepal, who was born at Lumbini. After leaving his home, and starting a spiritual life, he became a spiritual leader and a teacher for his followers. This religious view is now known as Buddhism. This religion has been spread mostly over Asia and in some of the other countries in the world.

Countries where Buddhism Spread

In the countries of Asia like Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Japan, and Thailand Buddhism have been spread widely. The most important country for Buddhism was Tibet. In this country, this religion has set another level of benchmark, so that, Dalai Lama, the spiritual head of Buddhism in the world, is from this country.

Not only in these countries but countries like Afghanistan, Bhutan, and Nepal, the countries which were connected through the silk route, there also Buddhism got spread along with the Business. It doesn’t need to be said that Buddhism in India has the greatest aspect of all time. Universities were influenced by Buddhism, along with too many people of the country. Many people went to Tibet to get to know the religion broadly and attain Nirvana Buddhism.

Cause of Raising of Buddhism

At that particular time, when this religion was spread, it had risen vigorously around the world. There were many factors affecting this situation, it is also important to know those situations.

Nirvana Buddhism

This was one of the main causes of the rise of Buddhism around the world. Nirvana Buddhism implies enlightenment. It was never told anything regarding meeting God or something like that. This religion always talked about enlightenment or the knowledge to gather. This straightforwardness was accepted by people.

Influence of Time

In the time of the rise of Buddhism, the people used to face a lot of complex rituals and different types of superstitions. Buddhism was the opposite of all these things. Buddhism in India became this famous, as this was the opposite of Brahmanism as well. For this reason, people also accepted this religion.

Four Noble Truths of Buddhism

The four noble truths of Buddhism were too much related to people as those were Dukkha or the pain, Samudaya or the pain related to attachment along with tanha, Nirodha or Ending, and Maga, the path to find the solution of the previous three truths. This was one more reason for Buddhism to get accepted.

Simple Language

This was one of the most important factors for Buddhism and four noble truths of Buddhism to rise. Buddha used to use the language of the people used at that time. That was prakita. This is why it was easier for people to understand his words. Also, his words were in layman’s terms mostly.

Influence of Rulers

Rulers of that time had a great influence in the rise of Buddhism. Many rulers used to take this religion as their own and got converted into Buddhists. Ashoka the great who used to rule almost the whole Indian subcontinent was a great influencer of Buddhism. Buddhism in India has a great influence on this factor.

The Sangha

The sangha is the group of people who spread the words of Buddha, as they were more active at that time and had too many ideas to share as normal people, people also accepted their views.

Influences of Universities

Universities at that time were mostly Buddhism influenced, as the rulers were Buddhists. So, from the universities, the students become Buddhists, and they used to spread this religion among other people. Along with that many students went to Tibet as well to get to know this religion largely.

Conclusion

Buddhism in India was one of the most famous religions at the time of Ashoka. Not only at that time, but after that also it has a great popularity. This religion was too simple for everyone at that time, and people easily accepted this religion. Along with this, with the help of universities and businesses, this religion has been spread a lot. Also, as this religion always talks about the basic truths of life, people loved to accept it as their own.
