The Maldives is a republic country known as the chain of islands. There are around 1200 islands in the country. The Maldives lies in the southwest part of the Indian subcontinent and is considered in the neighbouring countries of India. The maritime boundary separates the Maldives from India by the eight-degree channel in the Indian Ocean. Male city is the capital of this country.

The Maldives is a bunch of islands situated in the north-central Indian Ocean. Surrounded by waters everywhere, it is heaven for the tourist with a sunny part of life who visits the country for the holidays. The economy of the Maldives is mainly based on the tourism sector. This sector contributes around 60 percent of the foreign exchange of the Maldives and almost 28 percent of the gross domestic product of the Maldives. As the country is surrounded by water and there are many islands on it, fishing is another major sector of the Maldives. In 1989, under the economic reform program in the Maldives, the government enhanced the import quota and started to export to the private sector. As a result, the government loosened its control to permit more foreign investment.

In the economy of the Maldives, agriculture and the production sector have a minor role. Due to less production, most food items and industrial items have to be imported from other countries.

  2. Baros Island-This island is considered a crowd-free and peaceful place to rest. Many beaches and high rate resorts enhance the experience of feeling natural beauty and beautiful corals.
  3. Male Island-This Island is the capital of the Maldives. Many bars, high buildings, ocean pools, and a huge crowd give a party-kind experience during the vacation. Grand Friday Mosque, Tsunami Monument, Sultan Mosque, Fish Market, and many such places are present on this island. The international airport of the Maldives is also built-in Male Island.
  4. Halaveli Island-This island is considered best for the family destination as there are many fun and picnic places available here. Paddle Boat activity, Jahaz Restaurant, water villas, and Swimming Pools are attractive things on this island.
  5. Whale Submarine- It is a unique place and provides a different experience from the destination described above, especially for kids. Here, one can observe the life of the reef. There are many delightful species of marine and colourful corals in this place. 
  6. Dive Club-For, the lovers of diving underwater. The dive club is present on Male island. Many people try this dive club while in their holiday destination.
