Angrabadi temple or Amreshwar Dham, a Hindu temple complex located in Khunti, Jharkhand, is devoted to Shiva, the Hindu deity. Amreshvar Dham Prabandh Samiti is responsible for the construction and upkeep of the temple. Swamiji, the Sage Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswati, gave it the new name of Amreshwar Dham.
Ranchi, Jharkhand’s capital city, is 45 kilometres away on the Khunti-Torpa road NH-20, while the district headquarters are 9 kilometres away. Other Hindu deities worshipped at the temple include Ganesha, Rama, Sita, and Hanuman. During Sawan month and Maha Shivaratri day, there is an excellent gathering of Shiva worshipers here.
About the Temple
Located in the quiet beauty of the surrounding area and the calm and serene environment of Angrabadi temple, the majestic temple complex of Khunti is a must-see attraction in the area. This location is located in a low hilly landscape at an average elevation of 1800 feet (615 metres) and covers an area of 183.89 square kilometres.
The temple was renamed Amreshwar Dham by the Sage Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswathi, a disciple of Adi Shankaracharya. The temples present in this complex are one-of-a-kind and include Hindu deities such as Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Ram-Sita, and Hanuman, among others. Ram-Sita is a one-of-a-kind location that is well worth visiting. If you are looking for spiritual development, this is an excellent place to attend. It is also a pleasure to observe.
The temple is spread across an area of eight acres. Visitors are drawn to the complex by a temple in the shape of a minor. People visit this location to give their prayers and seek spiritual advancement.
About the Deity
The name knows the god who is worshipped in the temple of Baba Amreshwar since the Shivling that is worshipped in the temple is placed near a Mango tree, and thus the temple is dedicated to him.
As is customary in Hindu temples, the main Shivling at the temple does not have a roof over it. Because on each occasion, when an attempt was made to construct a temple around the Holy Shivling, Lord Shiva appeared in the dream of the person engaged in the construction and instructed him to proceed with the construction of a roof.
The primary Shivling is currently located under a Banyan Tree. The temple was renamed Amreshwar Dham by Sage Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, also known as Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati.
Legend And Stories
The Angrabadi temple is kept in the open air, with no roof provided for protection. It is reported that anytime it was attempted to construct a concrete roof for the temple, Lord Shiva appeared in a dream and asked the devotees to cease their efforts.
As a result, the temple has been preserved over the years. In its current location, the shrine is under the shade of a banyan tree.
Timing of the Temple

This location is not overrun with tourists at all times. As a result, it gives the appropriate serenity and accomplishment that any visitor may expect from a proper location. However, when it comes to festivals and other special occasions, this location exudes the appropriate joyous atmosphere. There are no closing times for this location; it is open every day from 6 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Amreshwar Mahadev Temple
Amreshwar Mahadev Temple is a cave temple located at Ranthambore in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, approximately 3 kilometres from the Ranthambore National Park Entry Gate and 6 kilometres from the town of Sawai Madhopur.
Shiva is the deity who is worshipped at the temple. It is located on the road to Ranthambore National Park from Sawai Madhopur, situated among the high hills on the way. According to legend, Amreshwar Mahadev temple is a 1200-year-old temple as old as Ranthambore Fort.
Because of the vast jungle around the temple, it was nearly impossible to get to the temple in the early years. To reach the jungle area from the Ranthambhore road, one must walk or drive for one kilometre into the forest. A waterfall is an additional attraction during the wet season. During the holiday of Shivratri, a large number of pilgrims come to visit.
Buses to Dungri village and shared Jeep services to Ranthambore fort are available at Sawai Madhopur railway station and Ranthambhore road, dropping you near the Amareshwar Mahadev Temple, respectively. One must travel one kilometre to get to the temple from this location.

Angrabari is a temple complex located about 40 kilometres from Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand, near the picturesque village of Khunti, the administrative centre of the Khunti district.
At the temple, the most striking feature is the shivling, which was rumoured to have sprouted from a mango branch on its own.
