  • Syllabus for Paper I

  • English Language: This portion tests applicants’ English vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, proper use, etc., and writing abilities.
    • General Intelligence and Reasoning: It’d have nonverbal questions. Similarities and distinctions in spatial visualisation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure categorization, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, etc., will be tested. The exam will also contain questions on abstract concepts and symbols, arithmetic, and analytical functions.
    • Mathematics: This paper will include questions on Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals, and Fractions, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Number Relationships, Percentages, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Interest, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Profit and Loss, Mensuration, Ratio and Time, Time and Distance, Time and Work, etc.
    • General Awareness: Questions will evaluate the candidate’s overall environmental understanding and its application to society. Questions will also assess current events and ordinary scientific observation and experience required of an educated individual. The exam will feature questions about India and its neighbours, including sports, culture,  history, geography, general politics (including the Indian Constitution), economics, and scientific research.
