SSC JHT Syllabus
The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) examination is conducted to fill Non-Gazetted posts such as those of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator in the Ministries, Organizations and Departments of the Government of India. The indicative syllabus for the SSC JHT examination is mentioned below. Candidates can refer to it for preparation.
Paper I
Paper I will be conducted as a Computer-Based Examination. The questions will be framed to test the understanding and ability of candidates regarding languages and literature. Additionally, the examination will test the knowledge of the applicant with regard to the correct use of words, phrases and idioms, and the ability to write the languages properly. The questions in the paper will be of degree level.
Paper-II
Paper-II will be a translation and essay examination. It will contain two passages for translation in which the candidate must translate one passage from Hindi to English and another from English to Hindi. Additionally, there will be an Essay each in Hindi and English. The idea is to test the candidates’ translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages accurately and effectively. The level of the paper will be consistent with the prescribed educational qualifications.
