- For group B gazetted officers posts, age relaxation is up to a maximum of 5 years in the case of ECOs/SSCOs who have completed a period of assignment extended beyond 5 years and in cases where the ministry of defence issues a certificate then they can apply for the civil employment and they will be released on 3 months notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer appointment
- The date of birth filled by the candidate in the application form and the same recorded in the matriculation certificate will be accepted to determine the age of the candidate and no subsequent request will be considered or granted
- Ex-servicemen who have secured employment in civil service under the government in groups C and D on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to ex-servicemen for their re-employment are not eligible for reservation and concessions in the fee
Note: The above-mentioned candidates can avail the benefit of reservation as an ex-serviceman for subsequent employment if he joins the civil employment, and gives self-declaration to the concerned employer about the date-wise detail of applications for various vacancies for which he had applied before joining the initial civil employment as mentioned in the official notification.
- The period of call-up service of an ex-serviceman in the armed forces shall also be treated as service rendered in the armed forces for age relaxation according to the rules
- A serviceman of three armed forces of the union to be treated as ex-servicemen to have the benefits of reservation
- Additionally, he must have also acquired at the relevant time of submitting his application during the post of service, the status of ex-serviceman or is in a position to establish his acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the authorities that he would complete the engagement of armed forces with the one year from the closing date of receipt of application
An ex-serviceman means a person
- Who has reserved any rank as a combatant or non-combatant in the army, navy or air force
- Who has either retired or discharged from such service whether at his own request or being relieved by the employer after earning his pension
- Who has been relieved from the services on medical grounds due to military service or circumstances and awarded the medical or disability pension
- Who has been released from such a service as a result of the reduction in establishment
or
Who has been released from such service after completing the engagement period or due to misconduct and has been given a gratuity and includes personnel of the territorial army
or
Personnel of the army postal service who are part of the regular army and retired from the army postal service without reversion to their parent service with a pension or released from the army postal service on medical grounds attributable or aggravated by military service or circumstance beyond their control and awarded medical or another disability pension
or
Personnel who were on deputation in Army postal service for more than six months before 14th April 1987
or
Gallantry award winners of the armed forces including personnel of the territorial army
or
Ex recruits boarded out or relieved on medical grounds and granted disability pension
- A matriculate ex-serviceman [that includes ex-serviceman who has obtained army special certificate of education or corresponding certificate in navy or air force] who has put in not less than 15 years of service with armed forces shall be considered eligible for appointment to the reserved vacancies for ESM in group C posts
- Non-graduate ex-servicemen who have not completed 15 years of service as of the closing date of receipt of applications are not eligible to apply for the examination
- Such ESM candidates are not eligible for the group B posts
- Age relaxation/ESM reservation is not admissible to sons, daughters, or dependents of ex-servicemen
- They cannot indicate their category as an ex-serviceman
Essential Educational Qualifications [as of 23-01-2022]
Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer
- Essential qualification: A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute
- Desirable qualifications: CA or cost and management accountant or CS or master in commerce or master in Business studies or MBA [Finance] or master in business economics
- During the period of probation, direct recruits must qualify for the Subordinate Audit/Accounts Service Examination in respective branches and regular appointments as Assistant Audit Officers Assistant Accounts Officer
Junior Statistical Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university or institute with at least 60% marks in Maths at 12th standard or bachelor’s degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level
Statistical Investigator Grade-II
- Bachelor’s degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognised university or institute
- Candidates must have studied Statistics in all three years or all 6 semesters of the graduation course
Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT)
- Essential qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute
- Desirable qualifications: Degree in law from a recognised university
Research Assistant at National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)
- Essential qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute
- Desirable qualifications: A minimum of one year of research experience in any recognised university or research institution or a degree in law or human rights from a recognised university
All Other Posts
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent
- Candidates must have essential qualifications on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications
- All degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning modes of education by the Universities stand recognised for the purposes of employment and services under the central government provided they are approved by Distance Education Bureau, UGC
Note: Unless such degrees are recognised for the relevant period when the candidates acquire the qualification they will not be accepted.
- Programmes in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy, etc. are not permitted to be offered under distance learning according to the notification from government authorities
- According to the latest notification degree/diploma in engineering awarded by IGNOU to the students who were enrolled in the year 2009-10 shall be treated as valid
- All the candidates called for the document verification must provide the relevant certificates, such as mark sheets for graduation/ provisional certificate/ degree of graduation as proof of educational qualification, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled
- The candidates who are able to prove that the results of the qualifying examination were declared on or before the cut-off date and have been declared passed will also be considered eligible for the educational qualification [proven documentary evidence]
Note: Mere presenting the results by the university or institute by the cut-off date does not fulfil the EQ requirement. The final decision of the selection for employment will be taken by authorities after the procedure completion.
