Recruitment to HPU is done on the basis of the GATE examination and its scores. The candidates should have a valid GATE score if they want to get recruited in HPU through the GATE exam. The eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE scores. After that, the qualified candidates will have to appear in the HPU interview process. The final selection will be based on the performance of candidates in HPU interviews and medical fitness tests. Every year, HPU releases a fresh list of vacancies for recruitment along with the official notification.HPU (Himachal Pradesh University) releases the cut-off marks for HPU Recruitment through GATE after the final document verification.HPU GATE-cutoff varies from one category to another.
Admission to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla Himachal Pradesh 2022-23 has begun. Interested applicants can apply from the university website. The University of Himachal Pradesh has begun admission to various undergraduate, graduate and diploma programs in areas such as the arts, science, commerce and law. The intake-based degree program application process will begin in May 2022 and the advisory process will begin in the second week of September 2022.
Himachal Pradesh University is certified as A by the Ministry of Human Resources Development NAAC. The University of Himachal Pradesh has 8 faculties of engineering and 12 faculties of general affairs, and the university campus has a total of 18 faculties equipped with modern facilities to provide further education to students. HPU has many full-time faculty members, most of whom are assistant professors and associate professors. The university also has visiting professors who give students knowledge through the curriculum.

UG Admission 2022 Eligibility criteria
- Admission in B.Sc Nursing the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 45 % in 10+2 with PCB and English as mandatory subjects.
- Admission in BBA, BCA, B.Com the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 45 % in 10+2.
- Admission in B.E.D and BA.LLB the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 50 % in graduation in any stream.
- Admission in medical courses like MBBS/BDS, BAMS,BHMS the basic eligibility criteria Minimum 50 % in 10 +2 with PCB as compulsory subjects
UG Admission Selection Criteria
- Courses like B.Sc Nursing, BBA, BCA, BA.LLB, BED, B.Com the final selection is based on the entrance exam conducted by Himachal Pradesh University. A final marks list is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in entrance exam by the students.
- For the medical courses like MBBS/BDS, BAMS,BHMS final selection is based on NEET UG. A final selection list is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in entrance exam
PG Admission Criteria -Eligibility Criteria
- Admission in M.Sc nursing the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 55 % in B.Sc Nursing or a similar course and nursing training.
- Admission in M.com the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 55 % in B.Com/B.Com (Hons).
- Admission in M.Ed the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 55 % in B.E.D.
- Admission in MA the basic eligibility criteria which is Minimum 55 % in Bachelors Course in any course.
- Admission in MD/MS the basic eligibility criteria which is BAMS degree of 5½ years with one year of internship.
PG Admission Criteria- Selection Criteria

- For the medical courses, the final selection is MD/MS based on AIAPGET. A final list is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in entrance exams by the students.

- Documents needed are mentioned below by the students, Failed to submit the documents will not be considered for admission.
- An application fee is to be paid by the student for the successful registration.
