Tourism is one of the major revenue-generating industries in Haryana. Haryana is known not only for its rich culture, flora and fauna but also for its several tourist attractions such as the Panjokhra Sahib Gurudwara, Kingdom of Dreams and the Brahma Sarovar to name a few.

Haryana is an Indian state. It is present in the northern part of the country. This state is covered by land on all the sides and hence it is also known as a landlocked state. Haryana was previously considered to be a part of Punjab but later it was established as an independent state in the year 1966. The capital of Haryana is Chandigarh. It is a shared capital with the state of Punjab. Haryana consists of several heavily populated and famous cities of the country. Faridabad is considered to be the the most heavily populated city of Haryana and Gurgaon is considered as the technological hub of the state.

i) Panjokhra Sahib Gurudwara

The panjokhra sahib gurudwara is present in Ambala. This gurudwara was built to honour the memory of the eighth sikh guru, Sri Harkrishan Sahib Ji. He travelled through Panjokhra amongst other places to spread the message of Guru Nanak amongst the people that followed him and followed sikhism. The panjokhra sahib gurudwara is considered to be one of the holy places in Sikhism and it attracts a lot of devotees who come to visit thai place throughout the year. A large number of sikhs visit this place during the Kumbh Mela. The Haryana government has also made several arrangements for the tourists so that they can have a smooth experience during their visit. 

ii) Kingdom of Dreams

Kingdom of dreams is a live entertainment centre that is present in Gurugram. It is an entertainment centre and it was established in the year 2010 by the Haryana Government. The kingdom of dreams also consists of an opera theatre that shows entertaining plays and glimpses of international cultures. The kingdom of dreams also has a cultural lane which showcases the food, attire and different traditions of the various states of India. This place provides an immersive experience to the people and gives them a feel of being on international lands. 

iii) Kalpana Chawla Planetarium

The Kalpana Chawla planetarium was built in honour of the late astronaut Dr. Kalpana Chawla. The planetarium was built by the Haryana State Council for Science and Technology. It is a very large planetarium and it covers an area of almost 5 acres. It is also surrounded by lush green fields and it can be an ideal haven for the people who have a passion for science and who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. The planetarium is equipped with modern technology and can prove to be very useful for astronomy enthusiasts. Since its establishment, this place has proved to be a favourite spot amongst several tourists. The planetarium consists of a section called the astro park which holds regular fairs and exhibitions and is heavily visited by students who are passionate about astronomy and science. The place also holds several informational shows that are very useful for the students. 

iv) Brahma Sarovar

The Brahma Sarovar is a holy pond which is located in Kurukshetra. It is associated with the hindu god Lord Brahma. According to historians, it is considered that the land which is used to build the pond was first excavated by King Kuru who was the ancestor of the kauravas and the pandavas. There is a statue that has been erected in the middle of the sarovar that symbolises the win of pandavas over the kauravas in the mahabharata. Many devotees visit this place and encircle the pond. It is considered that encircling the pond once is equal to visiting all the holy places in the vicinity of Kurukshetra.

Hence, it can be concluded that the state of Haryana is a highly populated state that is located in the northern part of the country. The state of Haryana covers an area of approximately 1.4 percent of the total land area of the country. This state was earlier a part of Punjab and still shares its capital with them. This state contains more than thirty special economic zones. The state has a rich collection of history, economy, flora and fauna. Tourism is a major industry that generates a high amount of revenue for the state of Haryana. The state consists of several tourist spots such as the panjokhra sahib gurudwara which is located in Ambala, the Kingdom of dreams which is a live entertainment centre located in Gurugram, the Kalpana Chawla Planetarium which is a highly visited site for science enthusiasts and the Brahma Sarovar which is also a holy place located in Kurukshetra to name a few.
