Government services – Karnataka Janasevaka Scheme 

In Bengaluru, the State Government of Karnataka implemented the Janasevaka programme after the success of the pilot project. This was launched on the occasion of the 66th Kannada Rajyotsava. Janasevaka will bring 56 government services right to the doorstep of all citizens of the state for free.

The programme was initially launched in Malleswaram constituency, and is expected to be launched across Karnataka in 2022.

Governors are elected for a five-year tenure. They also elect 28 persons to the Lok Sabha, the lower chamber of the Indian Parliament. The Rajya Sabha, the Indian Parliament’s upper chamber, has 12 members chosen by the state’s people.
