WHAT ARE FOSSIL FUELS?

The need for fossil fuel is increasing day by day in modern society. It also allows cars and trucks to replace the efforts of animals.

The fossil fuel is defined as the fossil remains of dead animals and plants. The amount of these resources is limited and exhausted by human activities. There are usually two types of these fuels in nature. All these include exhaustible and inexhaustible fuels. The research has also shown the fact that inexhaustible natural resources are present unlimited in nature. The exhaustible natural resources also refer to those resources that are exhausted by human activities. The key fuels in this category include coal and petroleum. Coal is one of the fuels that is basically used for cooking foods. It was also used in the railway engines to produce the steam.

Explanation of the fossil fuel

Fossil fuel also represents natural resources including coal and petroleum. Coal is also used as a fuel in various industries and for domestic purposes. All these things are formed from the remains of the dead organism. This is why it is called fossil fuel. Some different things have also been produced from coal. All these things include coal gas, coal tar, coke. However, petroleum is also considered another fuel along with coal. It is also formed from the organisms living in the sea. The dead bodies of the marine plants and animals are covered with clays as well as sand. The temperature and the high pressure also transforms the dead organisms into natural gas and petroleum.

There has also been a lot of processing through which petroleum is extracted. It is a dark oily liquid that is reused for different purposes in life. Natural gas is also another important fossil fuel because it is easy to transport through pipes. It is also stored under high pressure and is also used for power generation. Moreover, different materials such as kerosene, diesel and paraffin wax are derived from the entire process of petroleum extraction. Petroleum is also considered an exhaustible natural resource.

Discussion on the fossil fuels

The key fossil fuels in nature include coal, petroleum and natural gas. The wide-ranging use of these fuels developed during the industrial revolution. The high temperature and the high pressure also play a vital role in transforming the decayed plants and animals into coal and petroleum. It is also a slow natural process that takes a lot of time. Moreover, the extraction of petroleum is a complicated process. The refining petroleum is a mixture of various components including lubricating oil, petrol and diesel. It has also been observed that many useful components are obtained from natural gas as well as petroleum. Natural gas is also used for various purposes in human lives. The greatest advantage of compressed natural gas is that it is very affordable and easy to use. It is also used as a starting material for the manufacture of different chemicals and fertilizers. Some different industries have also been established based on petroleum and coal. It is an important energy resource for domestic as well as industrial activities. The modern world is facing different problems such as the high price of fuels and climate change and air pollution and so on. This is why modern researchers in this field are focusing on alternative ways to use these natural resources for day to day activities. The formation of fossil fuels such as coal as well as petroleum also takes a lot of time for their completion.

Explanation on fuel

All these natural resources are used as fuel in modern society. Moreover, all these natural resources are also used to solve the different problems of human society. Therefore, it plays a vital role in the lives of the people. The combustion process is also related to fuel.  The key components of this process include natural resources, oxygen. Moreover, the products that are derived from this process include heat and power. The hydrogen fuel production technologies can also put emphasis on the applications of the different methods of petroleum extraction.

Therefore, the amount of fuel in nature is limited and can be finished after a certain period. This is why some alternative approaches have been formed to solve these critical issues. However, the alternative approaches include the use of solar energy and thermal energy. The use of these inexhaustible natural resources can positively impact human society and climate. The carbonization process is also used in the entire process of forming coal. The products derived from the coals include coal gas and coke. All these products also form different industries. The sufficient use of these fuels can positively impact the climate and human society.

Conclusion

From the above discussions, it can be concluded that coal and petroleum are the key fossil fuels in human society.  The formation of all these fuels is completely natural and takes a lot of time. The use of fossil fuel has also transformed human society. The sufficient use of these fuels also provides a lot of benefits such as producing heat and power. The excessive use of these things can also negatively impact human society. Different substances such as wax, oil and polythene have been formed from the process of petroleum extraction. This is way, it is called black gold.
