Currency for any country can be considered as a medium of exchange for services and goods. We can also summarise currency as money in the form of coins or papers. Most countries have their own defined currency that works as a medium of exchange for them. Generally, we see that currency is accepted as a method of payment where its face values tell about the level of currency. As a term, ‘currency’ is derived from the Latin words where ‘currens’ and ‘-antis’ mean money in any form that is circulated as a medium of exchange. In the modern world, we can also say that currency is a primary medium of exchange that helped us in replacing bartering as a means of trading services and goods.
