An Explanation on MAST Score will be Valid for One Year

The world has changed into a highly competitive one. Companies these days face a lot of hardships to fish out the talents among the sea of brains. The Management aptitude Test provides us with suitable candidates for recruiting into the positions left in the companies. It is a CBT conducted for about two and a half hours. The Management Aptitude and Skills Test (MAST) was first devised and proposed by AIMA in 2011. It is a standard aptitude test that provides accurate results and comparatively a comprehensive analysis of an individual.

Management Aptitude and Skills Test (MAST)

The Management Aptitude and Skills Test (MAST) is a computer-based test by the All India Management Association (AIMA). The test aims to find talented minds who are potential managers for businesses worldwide. The test reduces the efforts taken by a company to recruit suitable candidates for managerial positions.

Previously, the manager recruitment process was hectic. It was a lengthy process that was both costly as well as resource-consuming. The MAST has now diminished it all. Potential candidates can be filtered based on their MAST score and easily chosen for the one-on-one interview for the job. The MAST provides the complete details on the candidate whether they will be suitable for the job or not. It tells whether they have the practical knowledge and the ability to tackle the problems as a manager of the company.

Applicability of the MAST score

The management aptitude test serves as an excellent tool for the recruitment of B-school students. Companies can easily shortlist the right candidate for a particular job based on the MAST scorecard. It helps gather the right pool of candidates for the recruitment unit. It also helps save time as companies don’t have to put much effort into calling out for interviews and waiting their time with non-potential candidates.

Components in MAST

The MAST aptitude test consists of the following components.

  • The test is a computer-based test conducted for about two and a half hours.
  • The exam is conducted across all major Indian states.

MAST score validation

The Management Aptitude and Skills Test (MAST) is valid only for one year. The students must score good rank again if they want to enter a company. The management expects fresh talents and young minds to compete in the best way possible. So, to keep up with them, the candidate must reappear for the management aptitude test every year.

Advantages of MAST

The MAST has its advantage for both the recruiters and the management.

  • The ability of the candidate is evident.
  • The risk of choosing the wrong employee reduces significantly.
