Indian History In Science And Technology:
India was always a superior country, ranging from great kings and civilizations to incredible researchers in all fields. It has always had the history of world visionaries who rightly explained the laws of nature and science.
India is called a culture hub. Therefore, the world should know the science that lies in this culture of India.
India has always worked towards general scientific and technological development, continuing the age-old practices. With the help of its youth, India is still working hard and will always keep working hard.
Remembering the scientist who led Indian general scientific development-
A recent web series, “the rocket boys,” has invariably shown how the great scientists of India like Dr Homi Bhabha, Dr APJ. Abdul Kalam, and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, developed Indian atomic and space technologies.
Since ancient times, to the Mughal era, to the British era, to being an independent country, India was and is working and taking the world forward on a scientific timeline.
Whether it’s the field of space, or atomic energy or metro trains, India has always developed and kept the world in awe. Be it , successful Mars mission in the first attempt, Tarapur atomic energy hub or the Pokhran range, or the Vande Bharat Express.
Recent working in technical and natural sciences:
Whether a scientist at an Indian space research organization, or an engineer at Indian railways doing general scientific and technological development for the railway board, all the great minds are working for scientific and public development in India.
Being gifted with natural resources, India has always been closely related to nature and biodiversity, which has led India to evolve natural science to a large extent.
The solar energy projects in rajasthan, wind energy in deccan plateau and biological developments in north east India, scientist have been closely related to these topics.
The upcoming wave of entrepreneurship has led to various innovations , even at the home level, which have the power to transform the world.
Whether it was Aryabhatta, , Dr. Bose (physics and natural science), or E. Shreedharan sir(metro man of India), just like all these scientists , India is thriving towards a better tomorrow.
The International Demand:
India also worked hard during the covid pandemic, even when the world was still working, Indian biologists and virologists, worked hard for betterment of India and founded vaccines.
Indian companies like tata and Ibm, have not only led to scientific development, but they always had a global impact and played an important role not only in the Indian economy , but the world economy.
Factually speaking, India has contributed a lot of scientific development-
- Geo-imagining and geo satellite development: At present, about 27 satellites (out of which 11 facilitate the communication network to the country) are active and in operation.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully completed its mission of developing India’s independent navigation system by launching the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS – 1G).
IRNSS – 1G is the seventh navigation satellite and it will reduce the country’s dependency on the US Global Positioning System.
Working for finding the best work of science, for sustainable development:
Very recently, with 1,000 MW capacity, the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project Unit 1 (KKNPP 1) was set up.
The DRDO, i.e., the Defense Research and Development Organization has tied up with Snecma, a French engine maker to develop the Gas Turbine and Research Establishment (GTRE); the GTRE will improve the performance of the Kaveri engines.
Kaveri engines are being used in Teja’ the indigenous developed Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).
Working in computer sciences in blockchain and metaverse:
As per the report of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), the analytics industry of India is expected to touch about USD 16 billion by 2015 from the current USD 2 billion.
- Defense research and development organization of Indian government is always working hard for amazing scientific developments like the medicine for covid, or Indian artillery
- India is ranked among the top ten nations in terms of the number of scientific publications.
- India recently has become an Associate Member State of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN); the motive is to increase the collaboration between India and CERN’s scientific and technological efforts and also promote the participation of Indian physicists, software engineers, and electronics hardware in global experiments.
- The Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare planned to set up a three-tier national network of Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratories, 160 vrdls will be set up with the capacity to handle about 30 to 35 viruses of public health importance.
- The Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology of the Government of India has now become the second country outside of Europe to have joined the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).
With the focus on Science, India is progressively working towards becoming a global leader in industrialization, machine development and technological development. The advent of nanotechnology in not only the biomedical sector but also the nuclear sector to evolve.all the sectors will prosper with development of such modern and quantum sciences. As both challenges and hope lie ahead for India, our developments’ optimism shall steer our spotlight from ‘challenges’ to ‘hope’ soon.
