The Structure of RRB JE salary is determined by the Railway Recruitment Board; it is pertinent to understand that the yearly salary starts at INR 4.24 Lakhs.

RRB Junior Engineer (Civil)
  1. Maintenance and building work on railroad structures, including encroaching on railroad property, staff housing, water supply, etc.
  2. Extension of Platform All tasks covered in asset production, including painting, building or repairing platform sheds.
  3. Responsibility lies in making sure that railroad tracks are suitable and kept up in order for trains to move safely, smoothly, and quickly.
  4. Bridge maintenance, running workshops, and railroad division building.
  5. Making the calculations and drawings of the work required for complete platform readiness
RRB Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
  1. The RRB JE Mechanical Engineer’s responsibilities when employed in the Mechanical department include the following:
  2. To create flawless diesel-powered rolling equipment.
  3. To keep the condition of the freight waggons and passenger coaches’ components.
RRB Junior Engineer (Electrical)
  1. Monitoring and upkeep of priceless machinery, such as overhead (OHE) and substations (PS), used in the transportation of rolling stock
  2. Upkeep of the electric locomotive, overhead and traction distribution equipment, lighting and air conditioning (AC) for the train, power supply, safety system, etc.
  3. producing and protecting electric locomotives, electrical multiple units, and main line EMUs.

What is RRB JE Exam

The Railway Recruitment Board Conduct Exam for the recruitment of Junior engineers. The exam consists of two different stages. There is also 1/3rd negative marking in this exam. 

The exam fee for the stage CBT is Rs 500/- for all the candidates appearing in the 1st stage of the exam. However, for the candidates of categories such as SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/PwBDs/Female/Transgender/Minorites/Economic backward class will be Rs 250/-.

Based on their normalised scores from the first stage CBT exam, candidates will be narrowed down for the second stage CBT exam. According to their performance in the 1st Stage CBT, the total number of candidates who will be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage will be 15 times the number of Posts notified against the RRB that are open to all communities.
