RRC Level 1 Posts Exam Pattern
The RRC or Railway Recruitment Cell Level 1 Posts examination followed a standard structure for the complete procedure. Let us find out all about the examination pattern of RRC Level 1 post recruitment.
RRC Level 1 Exam Pattern
- The total duration of the examination is 90 minutes
- Total 100 questions (1 mark each) will be asked in the complete exam, section wise is as follows :-
- General Science – 25 questions
- Mathematics – 25 questions
- General Intelligence and Reasoning – 30 questions
- General Awareness and Current Affairs – 20 questions
- The test duration will be 120 minutes for qualified PwBD applicants who are accompanied by a Scribe
- ⅓ marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer
- The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility varies for different categories. It is 40% for UR, 40% for EWS, 30% for OBC (Non creamy layer), 30% for SC and 30% for ST. In case of shortage of PwBD candidates as per the reserved vacancies, a relaxation of 2% will be made in these percentage of marks
- CBT 2 will be held only if the Railway Administration feels the need. It has the right to treat CBT 1 as the qualifying test for shortlisting candidates for RRC Level 1 posts
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates will be called for the Physical Examination Test (PET) based on the merit of CBT. The number of candidates to be called for PET will be three times the number of vacancies of the posts. Clearing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is required, and it will be qualifying in form.
- The criteria for the same are as follows:-
- For male – Male candidates need to be strong enough to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 m in 2 minutes without stopping and run 1000 metres in 4.15 minutes without stopping
- For females – Female candidates need to be strong enough to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 m in 2 minutes without stopping and run 1000 metres in 5.40 minutes without stopping
Candidates in the PwBD category are exempted from PET.
