Bandwidth:

As the quality factor Q rises, the bandwidth of the tuned circuit decreases. As losses decline, the tuned circuit gets sharper because the circuit can store energy more effectively.

Phase noise in oscillators:

Phase noise produced by an oscillator causes a random shift in the signal’s phase. By increasing the Q factor, the oscillator design can be adjusted to reduce noise.
