What is the Range of a Clinical Thermometer?

Answer : Thermometers are usually used for detecting the temperatures of the human body. It was developed for the clinical purpose of seeing any rise in the human body, which indicates any infection or disease. Generally, it is a narrow shaped tube of glass where a bulb covering mercury is located towards the end. The clinical thermometer is manufactured with a kink that prevents mercury backflow instantly. This makes the clinical one different from the laboratory. The laboratory thermometer will not have a lock and will be used to measure the lab’s temperature.

The range of any clinical thermometer will vary between 35 to 42 degrees Celsius. On a scale of Fahrenheit, the clinical temperature will range from 94 degrees to 108 degrees. Since it is used to measure the temperature of the human body, the scale is kept between 35 to 42 degrees.
