What is the Quasi-Static Process?

Answer – In thermodynamics, a “slow process” is referred to as a “quasi-static process.” It’s a process that takes place at the speed of light. In a quasi-static process, all of the states are in a condition of equilibrium. 

In a process described as being quasi-static, the system is maintained in a state of equilibrium with its environment at all times.
