What is the Importance of the Atmosphere?

The role of the atmosphere is very crucial and important for humans and the earth and other ecosystems of earth. The reasons are given in below points:

  1. It protects humans from ultraviolet rays shattered by the sun towards the earth; the atmosphere does so as it contains ozone layers which react with UV rays.

  2. It generates and holds the pressure to sustain the living being on the earth. 

  3. Regulates and maintains the earth’s temperature suitable for living for all species living in it.

  4. It regulates various weather conditions that allow rain, summer, spring and winter. 

  5. Holds the moisture of the earth which is important again for regulating temperature.
