What is the direction of propagation of an Electromagnetic Wave?

Answer:

  • An electromagnetic wave can be defined as a wave that is usually propagated by specific variations of the electric and magnetic fields.
  • Electromagnetic waves are the electromagnetic spectrum, including radio waves, infrared waves, X-rays,  light (the visible spectrum), and microwaves.
  • Electromagnetic waves are also known as waves of energy because of the constant oscillations which lead to various electric and magnetic fields.
  • The propagation of the electromagnetic waves takes place in the direction perpendicular to the plane which contains both electric and magnetic fields.
  • The electromagnetic waves are arranged in higher frequencies than lawyers’ frequency in the electromagnetic spectrum. These waves have a tremendous amount of energy in them.
