What is The Difference between Electric Potential and Electric Potential Difference

Answer: Electric potential is a key concept related to electricity. Electricity can only be produced when a potential difference causes electrons to flow. It is the amount of effort each unit of charge puts forth to overcome the field force and move that charge from infinity to a specific location in the electrostatic field. Voltage is yet another name for electric potential.

Voltage and volts are the SI unit for electric potential and electric potential difference. A scalar quantity represents electric potential.
