What is the difference between conduction and induction?

Answer: Heat energy is transferred between molecules in proximity through a mechanism called conduction.

Electrical power can be exchanged between two things without their touching through the process of induction.

Conduction and Induction Characteristics

Energy Transfer:

Conduction: Using matter, conduction is a method of transferring energy.

Induction: Induction transfers energy without a medium or physical contact.

Process:

Conduction: When a conduction channel is interrupted, conduction ceases.

When the parties are infinitely distant from one another, the induction process comes to an end.

Gradient Path:

 Conduction is an all-encompassing process. A voltage difference or a temperature differential must be produced for conduction to take place.

A gradient path is not necessary for induction.
