Answer. Energy.

The ability to do work is called energy. In other words, work can also be defined as the transfer of energy.

Energy is the work done by a force acting through a distance.

Most importantly, energy is what you will use to power your devices and robots.

Energy can be converted from one form of energy to another and even transformed into other forms of energy.

When thinking about how much energy is available in the world, you may have thought it was limitless but in fact, there are limits – both physical and practical.

There are the following types of energy:

Kinetic, Potential, and Thermal.

Kinetic energy: The energy of motion of an object is known as its Kinetic energy.

Potential energy: The stored energy within objects, such as a stretched spring or an elevated mass is known as its potential energy.

Potential energy can be of two types:

  • Gravitational potential energy- It is due to the binding of the mass of one object with the mass of another
  • Elastic potential energy- It is due to the difference in magnitude of displacement between two different objects and it results from a stretched object

Thermal energy: The flow of heat through matter is known as its thermal energy.
