What is Inertia of Motion?

Answer: Inertia of motion refers to the fact that an object will carry on at the same speed until a force is put upon it.

For example :

  1. The seat belt gets tighter within a car when it stops quickly.
  2. Individuals within space find it tough to stop the movement as lack of gravity against them.
  3. When a ball is thrown, it will keep on moving forward until gravity acts upon it.
  4. A moving car will keep moving forward even after you switch off the engine.
  5. It is more difficult to stop a large vehicle like a truck in comparison to a small vehicle like a motorcycle.
