What is a Potential Resource?

The resources that are available in a region but are yet to be harnessed and can be utilized in the near future are potential resources. The term “potential” itself explains that these resources exist and can be useful when arrangements are made for its extraction and utility. For instance, solar energy is a potential resource in many parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan and can be harnessed when solar panels are set-up extensively.
