What does the Slope of the Distance-Time Graph Indicate?

Answer : Speed is indicated by the slope of the distance-time graph. Since the slope of this graph measures the rate of that body, the sharper the hill, the faster the body. As the name implies, a distance-time graph measures the difference in distance covered by an element in a given amount of time.

The Y-axis inside this graph represents distance, and the X-axis represents time. If the chart were a straight line, the element’s motion would be consistent. The gradient of the straight-line graph remains constant regardless of the interval used. This means that an object’s velocity stays unchanged in uniform motion.
