What are the Laws of Reflection?

Answer: All of us know that light is a kind of energy that is characterized by several physical aspects like reflection, refraction, interference and diffraction. Here, we have put forward the laws of reflection of light.

Laws of reflection

First law: When the light gets reflected from a smooth and even surface, the angle formed by the reflected ray appears to be similar to the incident ray’s angle, when we measure both of them about the normal. The normal is a perpendicular line drawn to the concerned surface at the contact point.

Second Law:  The reflected ray always happens to be in the same plane formed by the normal and the incident light ray at the contact point of the incident light.
