The pitch of a sound is determined by the number of vibrations per second or frequency. Pitch and frequency are closely proportional. The pitch rises as the frequency rises.

The number of times a repeated event occurs per unit time is known as frequency. It’s also known as high temporal to distinguish it from spatial frequency, and normal frequency to distinguish it from angular frequency.

Sound’s Pitch
