Name the SI Unit of Area and Define it

Answer: SI unit system is the metric system that is utilised to derive the standards. SI system is basically that revolutionised sort of the system that deals with weight and measures.  According to the International System of Units (SI), the unit of area is m²(square metre), this is the area of the square whose length of one side is one metre. It is composed of 7 base units which are utilised for defining 22 derived units.

Example – If a square has a side of 4 metres then the area of the square is calculated as 4×4= 16 m².

Metre is most commonly used therefore m² is the SI unit of area.
