How would you Describe a Globe

Answer: A globe is a sphere-shaped representation of the earth and another celestial sphere or celestial body. Globes have functions similar to maps but the modifying and updating can’t be done on the globe the only that can be done is to scale it down. The industrial globe represents the earth and a celestial group represents the celestial body. 

A globe represents the details of the subject. A terrestrial globe represents the landmasses and watercourses which are present on the earth. It also displays the different countries and cities and the network of longitudes and latitudes. Oceans, seas, and even mountain ranges and other major landforms have been represented on the globe. A celestial globe represents the main stars and the positions of other major astronomical subjects.

Characteristics of Globe:

• Globes are manufactured in different sizes and types like a big globe, a small globe to carry in a pocket, or balloon-like globes. And they can rotate like a potter’s wheel
• Globe represents the Earth and all the countries, continents, seas, and oceans present on the Earth
• The tilted needle which is the axis of a needle is always in the stationary position
• The needle is passed through the only two places on the Earth, that is the North pole and the South pole
