Why Does the Earth Rotate From West to East?
If the path of rotation of any object is in circular motion then that object is said to be in a circular movement. The rotation of the three dimensional objects, the sun moon and earth along with various other planets is around a line of imagination. This imaginary line is known as the axis of rotation.
A body will continue to rotate along its axis in the circular direction until it has been objected to or stopped by any other force. This statement is as per Newton’s law. No such force is present that stops these planets from rotating in their original path.
The earth rotates from west to east and that is the reason the rising and setting of the sun take place in the direction of east and west respectively. This is the reason why all the bodies like the sun, moon and stars set in the west after rising in the east. The primary reason is that the spin of the earth is towards the direction in the east. The magnetic field of the earth makes it rotate in the direction of west to east.
