What is the Use of a Divider in Geometry

Answer: A divider is one of the oldest mathematical tools used in geometry. It is made of two legs with sharp points. It looks similar to a compass. It has a V-shaped structure.

The distance between the legs of the divider can be adjusted. This distance is used to measure lengths in geometry. Circles can be scribed using a divider and dimensions can be measured.

A line segment can be measured with the help of a divider. The segment can be divided into different lengths using a divider. It gives a more accurate dimension of the length than a ruler.
