Q: Which One of the Following Is the Smallest, Even Whole Number?

A. 0

B. 1

C. 2

D. None of these

Answer: the correct answer is option A.

Whole numbers are the part of real numbers that do not include fractions, decimals, or negative numbers.

Counting numbers are also considered as whole numbers.

An integer is a whole number (not a fractional number) that can be positive, negative, or zero.

Thus, Positive integers, including 0, are referred to as whole numbers.

A number that is a multiple of two is called an even number.

Any number that is divisible by two is considered an even number. With the help of an example, this can be understood.

Assume John has six balls. He can pair all six balls and establish three pairs if he tries to group them.

There aren’t any balls that haven’t been paired. As a result, he can deduce that six is an even number.

Let’s split 6 by 2 now. We get 3 as the quotient, equal to the number of pairs produced.

The remainder equals the number of balls that cannot be paired, which is 0. John will be left with no ball whenever he tries to couple an even number of balls. To put it another way, anytime an even number is divided by 2; the residue is always 0.

0 is both an even and a whole number. As a result, 0 is the smallest, even whole number.

So, option A is the proper choice.

Remember that the numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 are all even numbers. Furthermore, even numbers are divisible by 2.

Odd numbers are not completely divisible by 2 and end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.

We must be confused between 0 and 2 because they are both even numbers, and whole numbers begin with 0, 1, 2,…, and so on. As a result, our answer must be zero.

Also, school students may be unsure if 0 is an even or odd number, so remember that 0 is an even number.
