If the nth Term of an AP be 2n – 1 then the Sum of its First n Terms will be

Answer: Equals a+ (n-1)d Equals 2n-1 for AP

a1 = 2-1 Equals 1

a2 = 4-1 = 3

d = 3-1 = 2 is the common difference.

The sum of n terms is (n/2)(2a + (n-1)d).

= (n/2)(2+(n-1)2)

= (n/2)(2+2n-2)

= (n/2)2n

= n2
