Find the Multiplicative Inverse of 1 + i

Answer: The multiplicative inverse of number  value is equivalent to one of  which has been previously multiplied by the original figure. The actual figure should never be equivalent to 0 in this case. X⁻¹ or 1/X will represent the multiplicative inverse of given value X. A number’s multiplicative inverse also is named as reciprocal.

1+i’s multiplicative inverse is 1/1+i.

1/(1+i) = (1-i)/(1² – i²)

= (1-i)/(2)  Since, i2 = -1

= 1/2 (1-i)

As a result, the multiplicative inverse for 1+i becomes 1/2 (1-i).
