This can allow smooth running of the government and the powers will not be concentrated into one hand. There will be an optimum balance in the society and every citizen will get equal opportunities. Different types of power-sharing-
- Horizontal distribution- Power shared between the legislature, executive and judiciary. This system is also called the system of checks and balances.
- Community government- Power shared between socially functioning groups like religious, linguistic – Belgium.
- Federal division-Power is shared among the central, provincial, state and regional level government.
- Pressure groups, political parties- The power does not remain in one hand. The power is shared among the political parties, social groups, different ideologies, etc.
